Passerity

Terms of Service

Effective September 16, 2026

This is a good-faith, researched draft, not legal advice, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be revisited if the business's risk profile changes materially (for example: real revenue at scale, or formal company registration). By installing or using Passerity, you agree to these terms.

What Passerity does

Passerity is a Shopify app that helps you draft and publish per-product Digital Product Passport / GPSR-style compliance pages for your store, and generates a QR code linking to each one. It is a drafting and publishing tool — not a compliance guarantee.

You are responsible for your compliance content

You, the merchant, remain solely responsible for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of everything published on your product passport pages — materials, manufacturer/importer information, care/repair instructions, recyclability claims, and safety certificates. Passerity's AI-assisted autofill drafts suggested text from your existing product data; it is a starting point for you to review and correct, not a substitute for your own knowledge of your product or applicable law (including GPSR and, once it phases in from February 2027, ESPR/DPP requirements). Passerity does not verify the truth of anything you enter or publish, and does not guarantee that a published passport satisfies any specific regulator's requirements for your product category or market.

Subscription and billing

Passerity is billed through Shopify's own subscription system (Shopify Managed Pricing), tiered by the number of published passports. Shopify handles the actual charge to your store's billing method; Passerity never collects payment details directly. Pricing and tiers are shown in the app and in the Shopify App Store listing, and may change with notice through Shopify's standard subscription-update flow.

Acceptable use

Don't use Passerity to publish content that is unlawful, deliberately misleading, or that misrepresents a product's compliance status. Don't attempt to circumvent the app's Shopify authentication, or access another merchant's data.

Service availability

We aim to keep Passerity available and monitor it accordingly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Passerity is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Passerity's operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including regulatory penalties arising from compliance content you published or approved.

Termination

You may uninstall Passerity from your Shopify admin at any time, which stops billing and deletes your shop's data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these terms.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of Passerity after a change means you accept the updated terms.
